Michael Bellomo is based out of Los Angeles, California. He has written 19 books in the bleeding-edge areas of science and technology, including the topics of stem cells, human evolution, crises in the medical system, and killer viruses.

He has been a panelist at Loscon and Worldcon, a commentator on Fox News Edge, and an entertaining interviewee with NPR's KQED host Moria Gunn. He has also guest-lectured at Harvard University on the topic of stem cells. Education-wise, Michael holds an MBA from UC Irvine and a JD in Law from the University of California, San Francisco.

However, his favorite accomplishment was granted by the Queensland Foundation of Australia - the naming of a newly discovered species of spider with the mellifluous sounding scientific name Cavisternum Michaelbellomoi.
