The Writing of Michael Bellomo

Michael Bellomo holds a Master’s Degree in Business from UC Irvine, a Juris Doctor in Law from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Techniques from UC San Diego.

Due to an unlikely background as a voiceover artist, he was selected by Boeing Aerospace to be the narrator for a DVD presentation sent to Congress on the X-37 Orbital Space Plane. He has also worked as an attorney, an e-commerce consultant, think-tank researcher, risk assessor, and statistical marketing manager.

Projects in these various roles have ranged from the investigation of the Columbia shuttle disaster, preventing bioterrorism, and improving NASA’s ability to send payloads to the International Space Station.

Michael is the co-author of two Amazon bestsellers involving technology and science: eBay Your Business and Microbe: Are We Ready For The Next Plague?, a chilling work on how vulnerable we are as a country to exotic diseases and biological terrorism.

He has been a guest lecturer at Harvard University for his book on stem cell technology, The Stem Cell Divide, a thrilling look into the kaleidoscope of scientific wonder, religious dogma, and media hype. His latest work is a take-no-prisoners look at the sorry state of our health care system, More Harm Than Good.

Currently, his publishing credits total 19 books in various non-fiction fields, including technology, medicine, business operations, test prep, and ‘mass market’ science. Michael’s books have been published internationally in Italian, Portuguese, French, Dutch, Korean, German, Russian, and Chinese.

Michael lives in Los Angeles, California. In his copious spare time, he enjoys oil painting, digital photography, and the infusion of herbs into olive oil. He is an avid amateur gemologist and jeweler. Given a choice, his weekends are split between hiking through the wilds of Griffith Park and finding the best Thai lunch in the Los Angeles for under $10.
